Wat is er te doen tijdens de Beleefweek?
Ga mee met één van de paddenstoelenexcursies, fiets een ontdekkingstocht met lekkers uit de streek, ga op boerderijexpeditie of ga op zoek naar de schaapskudde. Dit is maar een kleine greep uit alle activiteiten die worden georganiseerd. Voor kinderen zijn er allerlei leuke doe activiteiten zoals survivallen, een workshop dieren tekenen of een kijkje nemen op de boerderij. Als volwassene kun je je handen uit de mouwen steken en de boswachter helpen. Wil je het wat rustiger aan doen dan neemt de boswachter je graag mee voor een wandeling in het gebied. En als je echt wilt onthaasten kun je bosbaden.
Mauntainbike mania
On Saturday 18 October, the now popular cycling event ‘Mauntainbike Mania’ will again be held in and around Hellendoorn.
A fun and challenging ride in the dark over an often unusual course (e.g. through the canteen of the local football club).

The oxcross is a small-scale (multi-day) festival in the outskirts of Hellendoorn.The oxcross is a small-scale form of the Zwarte Cross.

Zunnewende Festival
The zünnewende (or solstice) festival is a music and activities festival dedicated to this region.
It includes performances and recitals in the Lower Saxon regional language and various activities and workshops.
In 2026, this festival is scheduled for Friday 26 June.

The village festival you must attend!
Throughout the week, there are fun events and activities that showcase what makes Hellendoorn so special.
From the traditional Dutch ring tilting to a pub quiz and from a fair with old crafts to a true motor spectacle.
Every evening there are also performances by well-known and lesser-known (but equally entertaining) bands and artists.
For the children, there is a funfair throughout the week.
This year, 2025, the ‘Helders fees’ will take place from 10 to 16 August.
